Santa Pictures take # 27

We decided to take our annual trip to see Santa Claus early this year....due to Connor's upcoming surgery. Last year Connor did great he was only 3 months old, he had no clue. As you can see from this year what a difference a year makes. We went on Sunday right after the snow that fell the night before, luckily for us there was NO LINE to see Santa. this is the first picture taken as you can tell Connor was not happy, and Abbey was not happy with Connor, she interrupted her time with Santa. 27 pictures later we wound up with a Great picture. Connor was much happier and Abbey told Santa she wanted a dollhouse with a elevator in it, and a Candy Land Castle Game oh and new crayons.....she also said Connor wanted a football...but what I really think Connor wanted was to get off of Santa's lap. Connor reminds me of my brother Jeremy when he went to see Santa, crying, beat red face and in tears. 27 pictures last we finally got it. I think last year it took almost 60 pictures for our Christmas card.

Steel head season 2007

Training Camp has begun (for Steel head)

Adam has decided that Connor needs to start preparing for Steel heading.......He has some awfully big shoes to fill.

Let it Snow....Let it Snow!!!!!!

I ran outside to get a picture of our house in the snow....I figured it would be the only time the lights are up and there is snow around.....great opportunity for a fun, snowy picture of our new house. Notice there are lights up....Adam who is afraid of heights talked his lovely wife into getting on the tippy tippy top of the roof and putting in the tabs to hold the lights(they go under the shingles) Guess the good news is nobody died, fell or otherwise hurt them selves. I figured since I put them up Adam can take them down. Just a suggestion.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Steve!!!!!!

Today is Grandpa Steve's Birthday.........he is a picture taken almost 4 years ago. Abbey was not even a year old yet. There is a story behind this picture. The lovely outfit my dad is wearing is probley as old as I am. Whenever I had friends over my Dad couldn't wait to put this lovely outfit on and embarrass me. The shirt is a classic is says :Don't worry be Humpy" the blue corduroy are an engineering miracle, by miracle I mean I can't believe they have not started disintegrating they are so old and not to mention short. He could do a commercial for Nair. To top off the ensemble he would wear these white tube socks pulled all the way up to his knees. My Dad is a tall guy, those are some pretty long socks. I socks actually matched my dad coloring in his legs "snow white". My dad does not like to trow things out, you can't tell in the picture but he owns these shoes, that once were white and new, now they are stained green due to the fact he would mow the lawn in them. When I had friends over here he would come in "HIS OUTFIT", I would often tell my friends that he was the gardener. Moral to the story it is OK to buy a new outfit and trow out old clothes....they have fulfilled there purpose.
I guess a cool fact is that Jimmy Hendrix, Bruce Lee and Bill Nye "the Science Guy" have the same birthday as my Dad. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA STEVE!!!!!!!!

Thanksgiving 2007

This year Adam and had Thanksgiving at our new house. We typically have it at Adam's Aunt Sherri and Uncle Punk's house. This was a great motivator to get all those projects around the house completed. While completing the list of projects, which was about a mile long, I have come to the conclusion I will never again paint my house with my children or my husband around. I love them all very much....mommy has enough excitement in her life already. We worked every night till 11, 12 sometimes 1 a.m. the house was perfect by Thanksgiving. We had between 24-28 people for dinner. My brother Jeremy came down from Bellingham along with his girlfriend, Nancy & Gary, Kit & Susie, Sherrie & Punk, Alan & Christie and there kids and many more to many to list. We had a 22lb turkey along with a Barron of beef (cooked by Gary) it was really good. In fact it was so good Connor snuck a piece and started eating it, he couldn't take it anymore. the proof is in the picture. Nancy made just a SMALL PORTION OF GRAVY(enough to feed about 50 people)
What was really crazy is Punk, Gary and Alan ate more gravy at there table than the 12+ people at the other table.

Oh the 22lb Turkey

Swinging

We like to get outside as much as possible, today was your typical fall day, clear, beautiful, sunny but a bit chilly outside. We went to the "little park" today. Our neighborhood has 3 parks, but the little park has a swing for Connor. Connor found a leaf on the way to the park and held on to it until we got home. The color in the trees is amazing this time of year. Fall is my favorite time of year. Connor and Abbey on the swing
Connor hanging on to the swing and his leaf...pretty tricky
I love the colors in this picture, some of these leafs came home with us for a fun project.

Connor's First black eye

Connor got his first black eye today. Dad was watching Connor for a bit that night. I guess Connor was in Abbey's room playing and he fell and hit a toy causing him to get a bit of a black eye. Poor baby. I am sure this is the first of many.

Nov 6, 2007

We love our neighborhood, they are so kid oriented as you can tell Cousin Boyde was NEMO for Halloween, Abbey and Boyde saw each other of all places in the middle of the road. Uncle Ryan and Aunt Jenny live in the same neighborhood as we do....... Even thought it was Connor's 2nd Halloween (he was only 2 months old last year) he quickly picked up on the getting treats, Abbey the master helped guide his way to the candy bowl. See from the back he looks like a LION.. I love my kids so much. You will all be happy to know this year Abbey only knocked and went into 3 or 4 houses. She had a problem last year with entering houses and looking for treats.

Connor and his chariot for the evening, he loves his race car. This is the best house in our neighborhood, they really go all out. Abbey figured out they give big candy bars away. We went 2 times....shhhh don't tell.

Halloween 2007

I was actually a bit shocked that I caught this picture, Abbey had pajama day at school for Halloween and she posed for a split second and as you can tell she is quite the little model Connor went this year as a LION......not a LIGER 1/2 tiger 1/2 lion, not a chipmunk, not a rat.....but as a LION....we often we asked what is your son tonight.......again a LION
Abbey went as Sleeping Beauty, with long john and sweats on underneath....it was a bit cold out and her baby "butter" was not feeling good that night.

Glitter, Pumpkin and 2 little girls!!!!!!

I thought it might be fun to invite one of Abbey's friends over to have a pumpkin decorating party. So we invited Sam. We had a fun table set up for the girls with pumpkins, treats, cupcakes, paint and glitter all the things and good pumpkin decorating party needs right???? Thank GOODNESS it was such a nice day outside. We quickly moved the party outside, and I was glad I did that. Let's just say paint, pumpkins and the world finest glitter DO NOT MIX well. The girls had a great time painting there pumpkins pink, and then the glitter started. I have to say I never thought my deck could shine so much. Sam loved every minute of it. She thought I was sprinkling on diamonds......we just left it at that. Next year we will invite the garden hose to the party to help with all the glitter....I mean diamonds :) The girls had a great time.

Soccer Saturday

Every Saturday for the past month and a half Abbey has a soccer game at 9 am sharp rain or shine. She is quite the little soccer player and a polite soccer player as well. She usually scores 1 or 2 goals for her team the "bugs" and then scores at least 1 goal for the other team as well. If she could earn points for the team by the way she dresses, there team would be undefeated. As you can tell Abbey was a bit confused on what weather she might face in today's game, she needed sunglasses in case it was sunny, a hairband in case it was windy, and to top it all off she needed the brightest, shiniest shoes to complete her lovely outfit complements of Dad. I guess you are only 4 once. The lesson learned here is....not to send your husband to buy soccer shoes......well if soccer doesn't work out she can try out for the Seahawks. Abbey recieving her medal at the season end party.
The fashinista herself. Notice the shoes (how can you miss them)

Abbey & Licorice

Abbey's pre-school class has a pet guinea pig named Licorice. On weekends and vacations Licorice gets to go home with one of the kids. I signed the paper think it would Not be a good idea, but Dad said otherwise....lucky me!!!! Well today was Abbeys lucky day. Riley a friend at school was gone and missed his turn to take Licorice home. The teacher picked Abbey out to take him home. We has Licorice for 6 days (lucky us). Abbey got to feed Licorice all the vegetables he could eat and boy did he eat. Abbey got a bit nervous when he was in the box, thinking that our cat Momo would eat him........ As you can see the cat did not eat Licorice

Look Mom No Hands!!!!!

We we all sitting down to dinner talking about the day we had, apparently somebody was bored by our conversation and decided to take matters into his own hands....well not actually his hands but his mouth.

Look Mom No Hands.... Connor is absolutely obsessed with watching football.

Remlinger Farm

Aunt Cathy had a great idea to go Remlinger Farm for the day. We had a great day. Abbey and Connor had their first train ride. Abbey was so brave she wanted to go on the roller coaster, the spinning pumpkins(not recommended). They had a petting zoo, a hay maze, a train to ride on and some various rides. The kids got to ride a horse. We had popcorn and popsicles. Connor and Abbey had so much fun there. On the way out we got some fresh fruit. Here are some cute photos.......

Connor not quite sure of the train yet....

Abbey's 4th Birthday Party

Abbey helping her friend Carsyn
Grandpa Steve helped blow out the candles.... Abbey enjoying her cake

Abbey turned 4 of September 8Th 2007. We decided to invite all of her friends to a pie making party. Our neighbor Julie owns the Snohomish Pie Company, and she let Abbey have her party there. It was the perfect party. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and about 20 of Abbey's closest friends and family. Each one of Abbey's friend got to make a apple pie and take it home. Here are some cute pictures of the Birthday Girl and her friends.

Abbey's first broken finger!!!

Honestly she does go to a private Christian school.......
Abbey had just started pre-school we had a great first couple of days. Sometimes on the weekend Abbey goes to Nancy's house (my mother in law) where she gets to cook till her hearts content. Grandma Nancy has a chair Abbey calls the "spinney chair". Abbey was on Grammies spinney chair, and apparently was spinning to fast and the chair tips over. Nobody saw what actually happened. The end result was Abbey broke her middle finger and the very tip of it and had to wear a splint for 2-3 weeks. Being a mom I naturally took a picture to document the whole thing. One day we will all look back and laugh. Hopefully........

Craven Farm

Abbey & Connor...... Connor having fun.....

Brother & Sister sharing a moment Aunt Cathy and Abbey doodle
(they are like two peas in a pod)

Every fall since Abbey was 1 month old we take our annual trip to the pumpkin farm. We live in a great area where we have about 7-10 farms within a 10 minute drive or so. This trip we headed to Craven Farm in Snohomish. It was a great day outside, sunny, crisp air. We invited Aunt Cathy to the pumpkin farm with us. We love spending time with her. Abbey would prefer that it was just her and her Aunt Cath. Abbey showed Connor how to pick the best pumpkin out, and the big sister did a great job. All and all we had a great day at the pumpkin farm. Abbey even saw one of her friends from school Carsyn.
